Recently I've decided that these 'unknown' bands that I listen to and think that they sound great and really could hit it big time don't get much enough credit. Sadly enough the only place to spread the music is mostly on Myspace, and while that could be good; there's so many bands out there that some might get forgotten.
So, this is the guys I think you shall listen to:
Redlight Attraction - I just heard about them recently, and I haven't even talked to them (though my friend have and she really likes them so that's a plus, i don't like musicians being too full of themself), though Rockin' Tonite had me falling immediately, it's a real partysong. So any DJ's that might read this, find this song, download it/buy demo/or what they now have it on and play it. You won't regret yourself. The other songs they have up is also really amazing, and all worth listening on.
They have played together since February I think it was, but it was not until during July that they could focus much on it, and if you take time to listen to them you'll understand that they are naturals. To make songs like this in such short time show on they're real talents. (Though don't take me on the words about this, it's possible that I got it all completely wrong)
I'm not really sure how to label them, their music is hard to really classify though if giving it a shot I guess it can be kind of sleazerock and glam metal. Though you don't have to like these genres normally to enjoy listening to Redlight Attraction,
I have yet not seen them live, though when I have (24 January) I will post a review here. Though I do have high hopes about them.
Lizzy Insane - A pair of really sweet boys, though I have to be the first one to admit that I don't like the songs when they are recorded. The singer - called 'Tysken' - seem to have a little problem with his voice because when hearing them play live he have a really unique voice that I adore, but when putting them up; it's darker and sound just like anyone's else. Though they have a great charisma and great songs, especially the song Lizzy Insane is my favorite - and yes it's names after their band don't ask me why. Though Hot For You is also a great song that you should listen to.
I have seen them live, and as I said, Tysken's voice is much better live than recorded, something I find unusually, but nonetheless they are a great live band.
Sexydeath - I'm not really sure if these guys should be called unknown, but each I like them I can as well spread some of the love. It's not easy to really classify which kind of music they are playing, it's something between rock, techno, industrial and deathglam. It's not a wise idea to ask them what kind of musci they play, because you'll get different answers from them all. If you want to establish for yourself which kind of music it is you can just listen to A Chemical Rabbit which is my personal favorite - I swear I must listen to it at least five times of the day - or Lick Out The Pain.
I have seen these guys live, and they really have great charisma, so if they ever come to play close to you I really suggest for you to go, it'll be worth the money.
This will have to be all for today, I'll post about more bands later on where I got more time for it.
Now go listen to those bands, and comment on if there was someone you especially liked and would want a review on, or just more details.
Insanity.
